Traveling about England I found information about socialist thinkers. Here are a collection of photographs about these thinkers whose work was pivotal in the way the 20th Century developed.

Engel Engel owned a textile factory. He thought that the way industrial operations occurred could be done differently. He studied at Cheatham's Library in Manchester. The table were he studied is still in the library.

Karl Marx
Marx's important writing was Des Capital. He lived in London and researched at the British Library. He is buried in Highgate Cemetery. His is a very elaborate grave. |

Lenin Lenin lived in Clerkwell, London for a few years. He published his newspaper and is said to have been a visitor to The Crown Tavern, a near-bye public house. His body is on display in Moscow.
